Unreal Tournament maps in Unreal

This tutorial will explain how to run Unreal Tournament maps in 227i (or later versions) and how to set up your server.

Step 1: Install Unreal and Unreal Tournament on your machine. If you don't have a copy of Unreal or Unreal Tournament you will need to purchase one.

Step 2: Download and Install the latest version of 227

Step 3: Download BotPack compiled for 227

Step 4: Adding optional content

You can install S3TC texture. These are high resolution textures that are not needed to play, but optional to install.

For multiplayer online compatibility you should also download the updated version of the voicepacks (which are marked as downloadable for other clients):

Step 5: Link paths to your Unreal Tournament folders to Unreal by editing your Unreal.ini and adding the following lines below the Unreal paths. (you need to set them point to your UT directory).:

MAKE A BACK UP OF YOUR UNREAL.INI BEFORE YOU EDIT

Search your Unreal.ini for Paths and you should see something like this below.
Paths=..\System\*.u
Paths=..\Maps\*.unr
Paths=..\Textures\*.utx
Paths=..\Sounds\*.uax
Paths=..\Music\*.umx

Add the following lines below after your last path line.
Paths=D:\UnrealTournament\System\*.u
Paths=..\..\UnrealTournament\Maps\*.unr
Paths=..\..\UnrealTournament\Textures\*.utx
Paths=..\..\UnrealTournament\Sounds\*.uax
Paths=..\..\UnrealTournament\Music\*.umx

NOTE: Drive D is used as an example. Make sure you use the drive where Unreal Tournament is installed.

Step 4: Download and install OldSkool for Unreal 227:

You are now ready to play Unreal Tournament in Unreal.
